Membership

Avalanche Georgia is a registered non-profit, volunteer-driven organisation. Membership is open to anyone who supports our mission of improving avalanche safety in Georgia. Membership applications are subject to review and approval by the organisation.

Volunteer Nature

All contributions to Avalanche Georgia are voluntary. Members are not employees and are not entitled to compensation for their participation unless otherwise explicitly agreed upon.

Acceptable Use

By using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in your membership application
• Abide by the Standards of Behaviour and Interaction outlined in the organisation's Charter
• Use our forecasts and information responsibly and not as a substitute for your own judgement in the backcountry

Avalanche forecasts and safety information provided by Avalanche Georgia are based on the best available data but cannot guarantee accuracy. Backcountry travel inherently carries risks. You are solely responsible for your own safety decisions in the mountains. Avalanche Georgia and its members accept no liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of our information.

Use of the Website

Our forecasts and website are provided free of charge and “as is”, without any guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always up to date. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Your use of the website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, including how we use anonymous analytics.

Partners and Third-Party Links

Our website displays logos of and links to partner organisations and other third-party websites. These are provided for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse everything offered there. Membership Fees

Membership is subject to an annual fee as specified during the application process. Fees support the operational costs of the organisation and are non-refundable unless otherwise decided by the organisation.
